Rosacea and facial redness Consultations in Kingscliff
Understanding your skin
Rosacea is a long-term inflammatory condition that can cause facial flushing, persistent redness, visible blood vessels and acne-like bumps. Skin may also feel sensitive, warm or uncomfortable.
Not all facial redness is rosacea. Irritation, dermatitis and other skin conditions can look similar, which is why assessment matters before choosing a treatment approach.
What happens at your consultation?
Your Nurse Practitioner will discuss when your symptoms began, how they change and what you have already tried. Your assessment includes a review of your medical history, current skincare and any patterns you have noticed.
Please bring a list or photographs of your skincare products. Photographs of previous flare-ups can also be helpful if your skin looks different on the day.
A plan built around your symptoms
We explain our assessment and discuss appropriate next steps. Your care plan may include simplifying your routine, supporting your skin barrier, identifying individual triggers and reviewing sun protection.
Any treatment recommendations are discussed with you, including their suitability, limitations and follow-up requirements. Referral may be recommended where another practitioner or service would better meet your needs.
Ongoing care
Rosacea can fluctuate over time. The aim is to manage symptoms and support comfortable skin, with reviews guided by your response.
You do not need to eliminate every possible trigger. We help you focus on patterns relevant to your symptoms and practical changes that fit your daily life.
Arrange a consultation
If persistent redness or reactive skin is concerning you, an initial clinical consultation is a place to start.
