Personalised Skincare Consultations
Skincare doesn’t need to be complicated.
The PRESCRIBED is The Derm Clinic’s practitioner-led approach to personalised skin care, designed around your individual skin concerns, needs and treatment goals. Telehealth consultations available Australia wide - check out our Prescribed wesite.
Your care begins with a comprehensive assessment with one of our Nurse Practitioners. We focus on understanding your skin, medical and skincare history, current routine and treatment goals before developing an individual treatment plan.
Rather than adding multiple products without a clear purpose, our approach is to keep your routine considered, targeted and appropriate for your skin.
Your treatment plan can be reviewed and adjusted over time as your skin and clinical needs change.
Simple. Targeted. Personalised.
More products do not necessarily mean better skin care.
We aim to keep your routine simple and purposeful, with recommendations selected according to your individual skin needs and treatment goals.
What can we assess?
The PRESCRIBED consultations are available for a range of skin concerns and changing skin needs, including:
Acne and congestion
Rosacea-prone and reactive skin
Pigmentation, melasma and uneven skin tone
Uneven skin texture
Post-acne marks and scarring
Perimenopausal skin changes
Fine lines and changing skin needs over time
Recommendations are individualised following assessment and may be reviewed as your skin responds and your needs change.
Assessment, treatment planning & review
The PRESCRIBED begins with an assessment with one of our Nurse Practitioners, available via telehealth and in clinic.
In-clinic consultations may include a detailed skin assessment and VISIA® skin analysis where appropriate.
Telehealth provides a convenient option for assessment and ongoing review of your skin, current routine and treatment progress without needing to attend the clinic.
Following your consultation, you’ll receive an individual treatment plan outlining your recommended skin care and management approach.
As your skin changes, your treatment plan can change with it.
-
Your Nurse Practitioner will review your skin concerns, medical history, current skincare and goals. You will have time to ask questions and discuss suitable next steps. In-clinic appointments may include VISIA skin analysis where appropriate.
-
We review what you already use and discuss a simple morning and evening routine suited to your skin. Advice may cover cleansing, moisturising, sun protection and how to introduce changes gradually. Bring a list or photos of your current products to your appointment.
We aim to recommend a simple Prescribed routine that may include a Day and Night treatment along with the Support range Cleanse and Moisture.
SPF is a must and whilst we love and stock AiryDay to complement your skincare routine the best SPF if the one that you will actually wear and we have plenty of recommendations.
-
Your review is an opportunity to discuss your progress, ask questions and adjust your care plan. The timing and type of follow-up depend on your individual needs. Your practitioner will explain when to arrange a review and when to seek advice sooner.
-
Your consultation can include advice on choosing a cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen that suit your skin and fit your routine. We consider your existing products, preferences and budget when discussing recommendations.
Our Prescribed range aims to keep things targeted, cost effective and simple to use. Because your routine shouldn’t be 10 steps.

Our Process
Initial Consultation
Start with an initial consultation with your Nurse Practitioner to discuss your skin concerns, medical history, current skincare and treatment goals.
Your consultation can be completed via patient portal, telehealth or in clinic, depending on your needs.
Clinical Image Review
For in clinic consultations an initial VISIA analysis provides an objective baseline to monitor treatment efficacy. Where able we recommend a skin analysis every 6-12 months to guide ongoing treatment recommendations.
For telehealth consultations, images will be assessed prior to your appointment.
Your Personalised Care Plan
Following assessment, your practitioner will explain the findings and discuss suitable next steps.
Your plan may include skincare routine advice, practical guidance and a recommended review interval. Where further assessment is needed, we can discuss an appropriate referral.
Review & Ongoing Care
Follow-up gives you an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your skin’s progress and review your routine.
Your practitioner will recommend when to return based on your individual needs. Reviews may be available in clinic or via telehealth where suitable.
